During normal operation, the RX230 device has a low power consumption of 200 μ A/MHz and 900 nA in standby mode. It comes with a 5-stage pipeline enhanced DSP and supports 32-bit multiply accumulate and 16 bit multiply subtract instructions. The floating point unit (FPU) has a variable length and on-chip debugging circuit.
